Artorama

Presented by Arthus and Théo

Artorama is a workshop with a whole range of different activities. During the year, we will try to combine as many activities as possible - such as drawing, painting, comics, stencils, graffiti and sculpture. The workshop will be divided in two parts: The first part will take place on Wednesday from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. and will involve everyone from 14 years old up. The second part will take place on Friday from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. and will involve children.

Obviously the program will adapt depending on age and level of each participant. The objectives of the workshop will be to learn and practice the basics of drawing such as proportions of the human being (face and body), face expressions, portrait, movement, perspective. Once the participants are familiar with these concepts, it will be possible to put them into practices, sessions of rapid sketches and observation drawings, both exterior and interior, will be completed.

We will give to each participant, depending on the material available, the basic ideas for putting their drawings into color with the different coloring techniques, like aquarlic, coloring pencils, crayons and markers.

During the year, we will give everyone the opportunity to develop their own story, step by step: setting up a scenario, character design, sketch, ink, setting color, completion. At the end of this creation, we hope to print a small book containing all the work done over the year. Besides this program, we will often touch on sculpture, stencils and graffiti.
